Can I ask her about valentines day?

So I'm kinda texting back and forth with this really pretty girl. can I ask her how her valentines day went? I'm gonna be like, "oh yeah mines sucked cause I was thinking he foo fighters had a secret show scheduled so I drove to la" I'm just afraid she's gonna think I'm not interested in her by thinking I'm interested in what guy tried to whoo her. Bt as I'm writing this I'm thinking it's a good way to make sure she's open. Idk I think I'm overthinkjng this but I could use some opinion, please? I know. I sound like a girl right now.
