Baby black bird what do i feed it ect ect.?

Me and my friend found a baby black bird of the side of the street.hes is still covered in baby feathers and the adult feather he does have and fragile and under his wing and other places he doesn't have feather at all. She's not walking on her feet but the joint right below her body with her feet in the air which makes me think she's hurt we put her in a cage and have been trying to feed her earth worms,dog food, brid see,mel worms and maggots no of which she is eating how do we get it to eat and what type of black bird I live in colorado about an hour from denver in the subberbs. Anything would be helpful
