Unwelcome monitor bug - how to remove it?

All of a sudden the bottom third of my monitor screen presents a simulation of a cracked gl. I am unable to remove it, even unplugging the monitor from the computer and rebooting. I thought it might be a virus so I ran a scan. Nothing. Norton finds no virus. The bottom forth of the monitor still has this gray-white bar with a black corner where it looks like a stone hit a gl monitor (mine is a flat LCD screen) cracking it. How do I remove this thing? I am unable to see the desktop below this unwelcome overlapping screen, so I cannot see or click on START or its options, or see the task bar at the bottom, etc. I followed someone's advice and tried finding a strange program running in TASK MANAGER (found nothing) and booting in SAFE MODE to see if the simulation disappeared. The cracked gl remains on the monitor -- even while rebooting! It only disappears from monitor during the 3-4 seconds the power is cut to monitor during rebooting, then reappears and remains there no matter what I do with the computer. Can't even put the cursor on the affected area of the monitor; the cursor disappears beneath it. It would seem the bug resides in the monitor -- which to me sounds crazy, but that's what it appears since it remains there even when system shuts down. Please advice. Thanks.

Well, here we go again. Does anyone have a cycle close to mine that would like to be cycle buddies? I am currently 1 dpo and am ready for the 2ww to zoom by. It seemed like it went really fast last month. I don't plan on testing until I miss my period by at least 3 or 4 days because I don't want to waste tests. Do women really have symptoms before they find out they are pregnant, or do they imagine it in their head? I have symptoms that af is about to come, but no real pregnancy symptoms. I have found that I have imagined symptoms before and don't plan on looking too far into any symptoms because it just is too stressful for me because I want to be pregnant and I make symptoms stand out and say I have to be pregnant and I am let down month after month. I charted temps, used the clearblue fertility monitor and used preseed this month. I haven't been doing all this the previous months and I really hope it is the month. I have been using the monitor since January and I hope it worked out this time! I hate not knowing, but not knowing is better than knowing that I am not pregnant. We had fun with bding and we did it both peak days and today (which is 1 dpo), so we covered our bases. Now I just have to try to keep myself busy so I don't think about it. Does the fsb on a motherboard effect the speed of the cpu you can use?

Usually the front side bus is set by the cpu, so if your cpu is 1066Mhz, That's what the front side bus runs at. You don't have to have memory that has the same or higher FSB but it helps. Most boards these days especially AM3 will reach 2000Mhz so there is plenty of room for overclocking. As long as the motherboard is AM2 Plus or AM3 then the cpu you have chosen should be OK.

Why do born again "Christians" deny the fact that Catholicism is Christianity?

It is an oxymoron when calling them "Christians". Walking in the shoes of Christ would indicate an unsurped level of tolerance and acceptance of everyone. In other words, you must be like them, and be "Saved" through the born again process that they dictate(even after baptism), in order to gain your place in heaven. If that is the case, then obviously "born agains" believe themselves to be superior to me in the eyes of God. It is akin to the Jews feeling they are "chosen". Why is my nose sore and always congested in my apartment, what should I do?

She usually keeps me at arm's length re: updates on what's happening, then when she calls me all frantic, I get into a panic/fear mode cause I wasn't brought up to speed on the events prior. I love my granddaughter, but don't have the space to take her in along with the fact that I have a fulltime job. Last night she went to her aunt's house for a minimum of 2 weeks. I will help as far as transporting to school & to her counselor's appts. Her mother didn't even kiss her good-bye and tell her she loves her. She was relieved to get her out of the house after years of stress. Understandable as to why she hit her (which she shouldn't have..but there's a 3 week old baby; and an 18 mo.old toddler in house as well). What more am I supposed to do. All I can do is what little I have been doing. Bottom line is that the child is made to feel safe, secure and happy. If my supporting her alienates my daughter, oh well..

I'm doing pretty well in my career at the moment as a teacher of English and might do one more abroad before setting my own business up. My parents are great and always encourage me as do my friends. It's the people I meet who have these expectations that at 32 you're too old to go out and be silly. I'm not drawing my pension yet and you're only as old or young as how you feel! I don't wear short skirts anymore but they don't suit me but I'm quite content at the moment and get some days when I feel blue. All in all, I'm okay and will still be bopping around the dance floor and doing karaoke at 70 so ride on as we're a long time dead!

Changed oil, now 2002 Triumph Speed Triple pukes oil.?

I was working on my bike, it needed a new stator cover and I figured I would change the oil while I was at it. I swapped stator covers then pulled the Scott's oil filter and cleaned it. I put it back together threw new oil in it, then all hell broke loose. I started her up she was fine then like after five minutes she started blowing smoke and oil was pouring out the overflow. I umed I over filled her but no, the oil level was fine. I restarted the bike and after a minute or so it started doing the samething. Any ideas?

Yesterday morning I received a request for an add to Yahoo IM. The name looked familiar and I figured it was one of my buddies who changed accounts. My account name is pretty unique and not something someone would just guess at. Last night I got nailed with dozens of IMs at once and it shut yahoo down. It happened 2 more times. I have found out who the guy is that did this. Is there a way for me to trace the IP address the spam IMs were coming from? I have disallowed IM's from anyone not in my list and of course removed that account from my list. I've run AV and checked for malware and I'm clean. I'd like to throw a curve ball back at this duffus. Anyone got some ideas for me?

When I was a kid we never did Santa Claus, we did Spirit of CHristmas. My husband's family went all out. Now, our son is one year old and one of the elders in my church has a custom made Santa suit, complete with boots (and a real beard) and he comes and visits families around Christmas time. Why is my face clearer the next day when i eat chocolate?

I'm 16 and have had acne issues since 12. I've never been a fan of chocolate and didn't eat it often, but recently I've been having a huge craving for chocolate and I've noticed whenever I eat chocolate (mostly Hershey's almond chocolate) the next day I wake up and my face is a lot clearer. When i stop eating atleast a chocolate bar a day my face gets covored in acne. This has happened to me every single time that I've eaten chocolate so far.

my son was in a relationship with a girl for over 4 years which went sour last year when she went off with his best friend! He was elated as he is still in love with this girl. however the following week after receiving several calls from her to go round and see her, when he turned up she stood talking to him for about 10 minutes when he heard sing from behind a door only to find the so called ex boyfriend and ex mate in another room listening to the conversation. When he asked what was going on she simply shrugged and smiled! At which point my son (stupidly) then pushed past her and aulted him which has resulted in him being charged with ault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm, (the lad was left with bruising to his face no broken bones or anything like that) He is in Court next week for this and he admits this ault. However the ex girlfriend claims my son aulted her in the process which he vehemently denies. His bail conditions are that he does not contact either of these persons involved and he had adhered to this HOWEVER she still rings my son, playing with his emotions and messing with his head and quite frankly i am worried to death that because he lashed out my son is going to face a prison sentence for snapping under duress because of the emotional hold this girl has on him. the police are coming to take a statement from him because this girl is contacting him when she should be leaving him alone. Can anyone please advise on the possible outcome of this situation? Do the courts take account of emotional factors when dealing with offences such as these? I.E provocation? Crocheted Blanket Question?

I've been crocheting for over 40 years and the only thing I make are afghans. (Let's just say that every family member has two or three of my blankets!) Every row-by-row type of afghan that I finish before making an edging looks slightly 'wavy.' Even the granny square kinds look like they need tightening up. It's just the way crocheting looks until you put on the edging. I always start by doing a single crochet stitch all around the perimeter; sometimes once around, sometimes two or three times around, depending on my design. It evens out the 'wavy' look, and it makes it easier to add a lacy or shell edging to finish off the afghan. As long as you're sure you're not adding or subtracting stitches on any rows, I'm sure once you add your edge, it'll look alot better. You're tension will improve once you get a couple of more projects under your belt. All it takes is a little more practice.

I am 38 years old. This dream seems to make no sense at all to me. All I can remember about it was there was a group of people who were trying this mechanical mind probe that inserted into your third eye (chakra). Everyone was experiencing what looked like something pleasureable. So I agreed, I could actually feel a small hole in my forehead. I let this high-tech looking alien probe enter my mind. Then I experienced the most horrible pain I have ever felt in my life. It was like every single negative emotion you can imagine combined with painful electricity that paralyzed me. I managed to jerk myself out of this mind probe and woke up instantly. I was really in a state of panic after I awoke. Any mature interpretations of this I would appreciate.

I LOVE XM Radio. To correct the person above, XM has more rock channels then Sirius and they are programed a lot better. I love XM radio because they give me great choices in music! I love there 69 commercial free music channels and listen to XM all day! I've had Sirius satellite radio, its not worth it, there Dj's talk to much and they lack music programming. If you don't believe me take a 3 day trail of both XM and sirius and you will see why most choose xm for satellite radio.

Well it wouldn't hurt to try a hypnotist, so long as you know the guy isn't a fake and won't jip you out of money. I didnt' swallow pills until I was 15 in fear of choking on them, I got over it by getting sick and having no choice. But if you put them way in the back of your mouth and just remember that you swallow food BIGGER than the pill (even the "Horse" pills) when you eat, I found that I was able to do it.
