What is the best alcohol to use when making skittles vodka?

When you do infused vodka, the better quality vodka you use, the better the finished product will be. However, a mid-range vodka, such as Finlandia or Absolut is probably sufficient. I've made excellent herb-infused vodkas with those brands.
